Casting the right actors for the role of the resolution is entitled to half of the riddle in the movie. Just look at Helen Mirren in The Queen and Forest Whitaker as Idi Amin. Can anyone play the character of the property, Oscar? I doubt it.
And the interesting thing is, the success of the merger has absolutely nothing to do with capabilities of individual actors.
It can be a great actor but limited, or being a poor actor, but cast them down to perfection. Is that good questions especially if the party does not have to perform well. If so, a very talented actor could actually stand out for their performance as phenomenal and steal the film as a unique experience. Sometimes you just need to fit players in the global landscape. And some players can not do that and re-gas burners, if necessary.
Two examples that come immediately to mind is Chris Rock in "Bad Company" and Jack Nicholson in "The betrayed.
In this movie, not Chris Rock could make the transition from a standup as actor Robin Williams has managed to do a couple of times, but particularly in "Good Will Hunting" and "Portraits of a obsession. "It was as if a part of rock on" Bad Company "was just a vehicle for him to continue to provide strong jokes and insults at one hundred miles per hour if the Requested Party or not.
Jack Nicholson, one of the most gifted actors of his generation and an artist to whom I owe many hours of movies of happiness is that no place in "the Department" as perfectly cast in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Chinatown", "All About Schmidt "," Shining "" Something's Gotta Give ", etc.
It is a delicate balance for an actor to embody the character and instill an imaginary life on the one hand, and abuse as a costume, mask, and an excuse to show your own portfolio of fireworks.
