Top Ten London with children
After you have accepted our status as dedicated, if they are weak and rapidly aging, parents, my partner and I spend time planning weekend activities wet and half-hyper conditions accompanied by his nephews and nieces.
In our old almost forgotten, life partner, who lived in London. These days (as I like to remember) on Sunday is filled with friends, restaurants, trendy bars, cocktails, super cool, exhibitions, theater, and lazy to read the newspapers. I do not see too much sex and the city however. In fact, much of my free time was devoted to trying to crawl out of bed in my small apartment in one of the most fashionable of Outer Space East London. My achievement was the more cultural visit to the corner store for bread and magazine heat before lunch.
However, I thought that London was the best city in the world then (New York, about one second) and still do. Our lives may have changed forever, but our capital can still entertain us with little shaky over H, too. This is a fantastic place for young children and those are my ten best activities, whether it is in the Big Smoke, with the little people.
1Tiny tots love vehicles so that even your trip can be fun. Riding on a train, bus or taxi to London taking the tube or DLR (where one can boast of being the driver) or just observe the traffic and trains to entertain many children. You also unlikely that fascinating.
2For little Tinker becomes your really serious about transportation, the new London Transport Museum reopened its doors in Covent Garden can be ideal. Exploring the relationship between transport and the growth of Modern in London, there are many regular features that will appeal for children, as costumed characters and special activities during school holidays as the construction of a bus. "London Transport in Miniature" will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 8 March 9, 2008 at the Museum Depot in Acton, demonstrations of steam and electric train collections in the museum's miniature railway.
3The London Aquarium on the south bank of the Thames, about 400 species occur in more than two million liters of water. Nothing to see sharks and moray eels and piranhas stripes, your little fish will surely enjoy the trip that includes a pool multisensory petting a variety of creatures friendly and regular discussions and meetings of nutrition. Captain Pugwash and his team are in residence every day from Saturday, February 9 through Sunday, Feb. 24.
4Still crouched on the south bank, Tate Modern has a lot to offer families with children. The building itself is a great place for older children to explore. Every weekend the "Start" team are available to provide exciting games to play in the galleries, especially for more than five years. It will be running special events during the week midterm. "What can the matter be? Is a conference and demonstration to discover some secrets of the Museum's collection to be held Saturday, 23 February.
5Escaping the agitation of the South Bank with their children during half an hour can be appealed. The London Eye (on the south bank in front of the Houses of Parliament) is an exciting experience whatever your age. Even if you do that move at 0.6 miles per hour – twice as fast as a tortoise sprinting, according to their website – not for speed freaks. The views are outstanding on a clear day you can see about 40 km from the summit is as far as Windsor Castle. The capsule is very nice too.
6Two best free attractions in London should be the Museum of Natural History and Science Museum in South Kensington. The Natural History Museum, Harry and the Dinosaurs run in real life after seeing your child softy Diplodocus large and very sensitive to T. Rex (which is a little scary for children). Scale model of a whale Blue is excellent, as well as fun activities planned every day (including interviews, backstage visits, bags, backpacks and Explorer Discovery Science Center). Ice Station Antarctica is a temporary exhibition in force until April 20 Interactive (fee).
Gallery Science Museum Launchpad has been updated recently and aims to "curious and creative young people aged 8-14 who want to explore the world of physics. It is full of exhibitions, performances and demonstrations. The garden and Pod pattern of two interactive galleries designed for young children. There are many daily activities and events and also a film IMAX 3D, making this day a source of inspiration for everyone.
7I may be biased having lived there for a while, but Greenwich is one of the areas London's most beautiful, perfect for family trips in the capital. It has everything you need for the day of the space end of the park, the Royal Observatory and National Maritime Museum, Old Royal Naval College and university buildings, department stores and restaurants, independent boutiques and cafes, a lively market and riverside walks. Unexpected Highlights for our man bit curious is that the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, where you walk under the Thames.
8Wicked, The Lion King, Dirty Dancing Sound of Music, Billy Elliot … you can not go wrong with one of those shows in the West End.
9London is full of green spaces and parks – ideal for letting monsters energy spread. You might even have a chance to rest for a while. Hyde Green St James's and Regent's parks are easily accessible.
10Nestled Regent's Park Zoo in London is that recently won several awards at the ceremony Visit London, the price included "Kids love London. There is so much see here, including the new £ 5.3 million Gorilla enclosure Spain, Zoo Butterfly Ambika Paul Children's Paradise Meet the Clore Rainforest Lookout and monkeys.
We are fortunate to live within an hour's drive from London, so I'm hoping that H will grow to feel part of this wonderful city. Children really love.
