Zac Efron in 17 Again Star on DIRECTV PPV films

Now available on satellite and pay per view movies, on the day of DVD release, is the teen comedy 17 Again with Zac Efron idol.

In the movie, Efron plays Mike O'Donnell, a star basketball High school seems to have everything – a college scholarship, popularity, and a beautiful girlfriend. But all that changed when his girlfriend Scarlett reveals she is pregnant. Of Suddenly, all the aspirations of Mike are disappointed and we have a fast forward twenty years later. Mike (now played by Matthew Perry) and Scarlett (Leslie Mann) is separated, and Mike lives with his software engineering nerd's best friend Ned (Thomas Lennon). We also learn that Mike's relationship with his own teenage children are nonexistent, and his work is stopped. Praying for a change after having gone through a promotion, Mike meets a mysterious janitor who becomes back to its glory days and suddenly, Mike is 17 (and played by Zac Efron) again.

Posing as a new student named Mark, Mike infiltrates the school their children and learn things about them she never knew. She also visits an unsuspecting Scarlett and find all the things that initially made him fall in love. Of course, it comes as little surprise to anyone who sees a film that Mike finally learn things about yourself that will make you a better husband, better father, and enjoy life as never before.

I saw this movie at first, when it was released in theaters in April and I remember thinking "nice, but I could wait for the DVD." It is packed stereotypes that have come to expect from this kind of teen comedies (the bully jock, the cheerleader tempting trio, the final showdown the game of basketball with this opportunity to establish the winning basket), but still works, largely due to the charms of Efron. Now is removed from the outside mold Disney, Efron is proving to be much more than a pretty face. Shows surprising dramatic chops here (especially in the speech given by a judge in court at the end) and I think it has a long career ahead him as an actor in more serious roles. Leslie Mann is a bit underused, but it is always good here, and I always like to see in the play (she also appeared in The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and the people that was funny.)

I think fans will be tempted to give five-star Efron even before seeing, but the other if the people get a chance, you will see that there is a little more than an eye for talent Efron. Another 17 years was the heart and was not rude, and I think it's a movie the whole family can enjoy. Sometimes a sweet little is actually kind of endearing.

Shock Value: How a Few Eccentric Outsiders Gave Us Nightmares, Conquered Hollywood, and Invented Modern Horror

An enormously entertaining account of the gifted and eccentric directors who gave us the golden age of modern horror in the 1970s, bringing a new brand of politics and gritty realism to the genre. Much has been written about the storied New Hollywood of the 1970s, but at the same time as Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Francis Ford Coppola were making their first classic movies, a paralle…
