Cinema Hd Display

Do Apple monitors damage eyesight?
I just got a 23-inch Apple Cinema HD Display, and every time I use it, my eyes hurt, and the world seems a little more blurry. I’ve even cranked the brightness down to nothing.
I never noticed this kind of problem with my 14-inch Sony monitor from my old computer. I thought Apple was supposed to be higher tech. What’s going on here, and how do I preserve my eyesight?
I guess if you stare at a computer for a long time, then your eyes will go bad anyways. But, use the moniter in a well-lit room. And keep the screen relatively far from your face.
