Cinema And Ethics

Spanglish – 3 stars (good)
Spanglish is a relationship movie with a surprise ending in which the two main characters in the movie actually do the right thing.
The scenario consists of a Mexican woman who emigrates to America with his daughter after a relationship has to seek a life better. It becomes a housekeeper for a family of luxury with some relationship problems, and becomes emotionally involved with her husband.
Husband (Adam Sandler) and his housekeeper (Paz Vega) had almost lost, but do not act on their impulses, separating at the end with her husband to return to Dysfunctional his wife (Tea Leoni) and her two children and housewives to go to another chapter in his life.
It is so different from Hollywood, where filmmakers in tinsel town can not get enough sex, violence and coal in a movie like this without taking into account ethics, values or morals.
Everyone in this movie that really mattered was sensitive except for the wife (who should know better) and the housekeeper's daughter (who is young and immature).
All you need to know about women is cruel, buying new clothes for her daughter, who is two sizes too small as an incentive to lose weight. The girl is overweight and unattractive, but also smart, sensitive and fun. Wife then manages to fall into an illicit relationship because of their insecurity and low self-esteem.
The role of wife Deborah becomes the wall is an incredible person involved in what is otherwise a good film with some great messages. I give credit to Tea Leoni for this worthless paper and proves that you can blow an air gun in the ear and feel the constant breeze from the other side.
The husband, who became a great leader, it seems be empty, at times, but also shows some sensitivity, compassion and understanding, while his wife is totally egocentric. I would like to see this movie again, and fall even more in the nature, activity and the decision of women.
It's so wonderful to see Adam Sandler in a serious larger effort other acts silly, stupid comedy like Punch-Drunk Love. Sandler may not be Hollywood's answer to the great actor, but is able to more great comedy, we need to know much more.
"Spanglish" does not benefit at all from its title, produced by a combination of Spanish and English (the maid in the film depends primarily on his daughter to speak English, because you can not). In fact, there was a translator on the shelves by Paz Vega does not speak English and James L. Brooks (director) not speak Spanish.
Unfortunately, the title looks so cute and explosives and tells us nothing about the nature of the film or its message. The title, which could have helped build an audience for the film, not to provoke any emotion or imagination. Spanglish got some prizes, but you will not find Oscar nominations or the importance here.
The film is written and directed by James L. Brooks, usually a recipe for a terrible film, But Brooks has broken the mold.
Brooks may be the first writer / director I have not deliberately leaked because of a terrible product. Manages to tell a story worth see, and makes the characters more real and participate when necessary, instead of losing the images with another sex scene to a blind shot scores thumb.
Many Americans love sex, filth and violence. If you do not think so, watch a movie, turn on the TV or playing a video game (They do it because consumers almost demand). Brooks credit for drawing the line and make the characters more important than all the assessments that can be generated.
