Marketing Tips for players – Color Me Blue
The key word this week is blue.
Why blue? Why color? Colors are a form energy. When you communicate, to express ideas through the power of your personality, your voice, your appearance … and color to wear! When they appear in the camera lens to read the energy of that color. Some colors have more energy and attract others. red and orange can be a lot of energy, but most of these are not attractive colors. Red can represent passion, but also fire, fear, blood and anger. Dark colors dark evergreen black, brown and are perceived generally depressing, cold and sad. shades of gray, navy blue and cranberry are typically serious business. The vibrant colors and pastels are generally the most popular. They are commonly used in nurseries, schools and hospitals because they are perceived as happy, relaxing and healing.
And guess what pitch is the most popular with most people? You guessed it. BLUE. Why? The Blue is the color of sky and water in lakes, oceans, rivers. It is the color used in nature … at least on our planet. Not green. Y represents a positive energy, happiness … thinking. Blue skies, Blue Moon, Blue Screen, JetBlue, TV Blue … Each day you will see more of the blue in all degrees of the sky because it is the more universal, more comfortable. It puts people at ease. Sky blue, aqua, French blue, and turquoise and baby blue … these colors are everywhere. Now I ask what is the link to act?
When hearing the camera, the first thing all the world sees is the color you use. Use a bit depressing, boring or threatening, no matter how brilliant performance that will be affected by the first color and performance in the second … especially when you're auditioning for commercials, daytime / TV "> primetime or movie roles. It's subliminal and first impressions and all that.
If you are a representative of a psycho / murderer, a desperate housewife, a district attorney aggressive or an FBI agent … OK, choose to wear the colors more aggressive. But if you represent a professional doctor, lawyer, spokesman for the company or even a mom happy / father, use blue in their together and you will book more jobs. Strange, but true. Try it!
Years ago, when I made a hearing a large number of television ads, was a shirt I bought for $ 15 all-my favorite shirt. He somewhere between heaven and French warm blue ocean blue lake. I have booked several times which is higher than any other piece of clothing I had. Won million, more than a decade! Also a few screen tests for functions a lawyer, doctor, mother, wearing the shirt. I have a successful career, because I wore the blue? Yes and no. My hearing was to be good and I had to "watch" party and the type of law as well. But when in competition with dozens of other actresses who were all talented, attractive, pleasant, comparable commercial loans, how I had the advantage? Ego said it was my talent. But the final reserve factor "could be the blue blouse.
I even asked, "… that might use this blue shirt as costume for the movie end?" A business of casting director had attended a casting session, said the final customer (Procter and Gamble) has insisted that contract, "as the actress in the blue!" And I booked this place television well-paid … one of hundreds. A true story.
If you want to book far in camera at work, get advice from a color or a consultant image or a coaching career . What are your strengths and colors better (there are many blue shadows), which sells hair really you, and what best suits your wardrobe guy? Listening is an art every detail is important. A Career Coach can advise on any of the above. (Give me a shout will be happy to help!).
Latest Council *
For hearings before the camera, do not wear red, black or white.
WHITE is a no-no for the camera, as it tends to create a green shadow around you and fries! Skin tones are then "No" – Do not look good!
RED can be exciting and beautiful to wear for a special interview / audition or a gill-dance song, but the camera is a disaster! The color may turn beet red, black, dried blood red, purple, orange or fuchsia pink ugly. Whatever your skin color-Eeek!
BLACK looks like a shadow and literally sucks all the energy of your hand on the camera. (Especially if you have dark skin, another reason to use something so vibrant that stand out.)
These colors can be very real in a film, TV show or commercial, because for the fact that he is a person called a designer lighting "What can add thousands of lights" gels "to soften / tone / look good, otherwise you'll have a whole day to create the making atmosphere and fabulous lighting. This is why movie stars are so good.
But at a hearing in a study director casting usually have a camera and a small stand with an umbrella of reflection of the high beam. Thus, these three colors how I miss You look much less attractive. You're just shooting yourself in the foot to defy the law of the lighting and color. You can not win or rarely win. (This applies to title = "headshots"> headshots, for that matter).
I have had several customers who had the classic "All Black", held in a black t-shirt, torn or distressed jeans, black boots to each audience, and then wondered why they never received a return call for nothing!
Instead of assuming that their performance or blaming "the director door open for lack of imagination", change your wardrobe and see if you get a different response. I'd bet on him. You have all heard the classic line "dress for the occasion." Now, remember, "colored dress." The first rule of marketing that you do, Product desirable, then, how you dress is the packaging of the product, you.

Ten million people RED CAN buy days. Easy!
During this time
hearing success!
